yeah, sure, stop consumer buying and put more workers out of jobs.

the “Austerity” word should be for GOVERNMENT USAGE.

Feds and States need to crash course all government employees on Austerity….especially the regimes in D.C. currently and the Blue States that have lost population and House seats because of Democrat taxes.

I live in Illinois and we lost a House district due to lower population due to Democrat control and a state income tax and taxes on everything except breathing air. Our state just passed a new tax on “service”….never taxed before…

People leave our state also because of anti-business laws and we have lost Doctors because of laws making a Doctor responsible for more than 20 years for every baby delivered…!! Doctors in our state need high premium insurance and so quit or move.

Consequences of Liberal Ideology enacted into laws….

    “Liberal Ideology”

Liberals, schliberals. Money is money, wherever it comes from - and public projects can very well stimulate the economy, especially when the private sector is struggling. Unfortunately, this can lead to debt - but doing nothing can hit people even harder.

And considering how people on your political side were berating foolish spenders for causing the housing bubble, it’s funny that you’d talk about austerity only in the government sector. Yes, the government should not overspend - yet somehow that wasn’t a problem when your guys were in office.
