Hmm, considering that healthcare is mostly (except for VA, natives, medicare/medicaid etc) handled by private insurers, I kinda doubt it. They will be considered too costly, but that’s business for you.

I wasn’t “insulted” when we “pulled out of Viet Nam” some 8 years AFTER I fought there and realized the war was idiocy. My son was just home for Christmas after serving in Panama, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bosnia when things were NOT “friendly”. He’s been delayed in getting his disability retirement because the same military buying more toys for the generals and admirals, doesn’t want to serve the TROOPS that have served them. It is not just our friends who’ve died, or may die, but those crippled for life that will end up our longer term “costs” of these wars.

Start the pullout this year, and be gone by next– and STOP looking for the next war to support the “military-industrial complex”- let’s reinstate the infrastructure to support and expand NON-war growth and jobs here at home.

Who “won” the war, and who REALLY SOLD US OUT AFTER? Corporations, NOT “Communists”, screwed us all for profits, collected at the TOP of the revenue stream, while AMERICAN JOBS went overseas and we became a “service economy”.

Milton Friedman lives, and would have given the United States a Pinochet- if he’d been able. Cheney STILL makes me think we’re not out of the woods, or jungle, or well, mountains of Afghanistan or deserts of Iraq and the oil-rich Middle East yet.
