I believe we’re talking 1948 – was lucky (?) enough to download some of these strips when more were available. Don’t remember the original strip, as I recall our local paper did not start carrying Lil Abner until later. When it was announced that the paper would soon carry Lil Abner, was really excited – but disappointed because I thought they ment Lum and Abner!
