Good morning Vagabonds.Still remaining cold today but at least it’s dry.

My day will be different today as I have to go to the funeral of someone we know.

Barbara won’t be going as her back has been bothering lately.

He died last week of cancer. He has had it for some time and would go back and forth into remission until about two months ago he went into Hospice. He was 73 years old. We are good friends of his wife having known her for about 30 years. That was before they were married. We also went to their wedding.

Hope the rest of you are well. You know that you are under the protection of the Lord.

    Howdy Vagabonds

I see snow coming down outside, blah. Two more weeks till winter?

77 years ago today, the Day that will live Infamy. You know what, I have yet to see one strip making any kind of commemoration to December 7, Pearl Harbor Day. (I am a little miffed.)

I’m watching “Battle 360” episode 1, it was a one season series chronicling the battle history of the USS Enterprise in the Pacific during WW2.

    May God bless your day.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Today is “set up” day for the Christmas Tea tomorrow. We will all meet at the church this morning and transform the sanctuary into a tea room. It usually takes a couple of hours. They guys move around the tables and chairs and the ladies put out the table linens and set the tables. Tomorrow we’ll meet at noon to make the finger sandwiches and the tea will be at 4. Once again this year, the gentlemen will be serving the ladies.

My friend Irene has come through her surgery successfully and is at home. She’s quite sore still and can’t wear her glasses right now, though.

Card game tonight, but other than that and the set up, not much is going on. I found a frame for my cross-stitch, so I will probably try to clean and stretch it so it can be mounted.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good Cold morning, Vagabonds,

It’s 4 degrees now, and supposed to get up to 28 today. But………..for the next 4 days it’ll reach the low 40’s! WooHoo!!!!

In honor of Pearl Harbor Day, we plan to watch “The Final Countdown” with Kirk Douglas. I read that this is the first time that any of the survivors of the USS Arizona will not be there for the ceremony. I think there are 5 of them, all in their 90’s and not able to travel.

I always say I don’t have anything planned, but by the end of the day I fall into bed completely exhausted! So, I hope y’all don’t fall into my pit.

    xoxo Happy Trails
