Our friend Arye lost his beloved cat Joyful the other day. My heart goes out to him as I know exactly how he’s feeling.
David, my grandmother lived to be 99, and remained as sharp as ever right up to the end. She was the definition of an “old coot” and was quite a character, but she was smart and right on top of things all the time.
We had a quiet day yesterday. I’ve been working on the back-stitching of my Christmas project, and it’s actually going better than I had hoped. It’s a learning process, so I’ve found that the method that is recommended in everything I have read is wasteful of thread and makes the back look like a jumble. I found a better way, and it works well. I’m already finished with two sections and am working on the central “stable” scene. I should be done by the end of the week, including mounting.
It got below 70 inside the apartment last night for the first time. I’ve been lowering the thermostat every night, but it doesn’t get as low as I set it. At least not yet. The highs continue in the 50’s with the lows in the 40’s. No rain predicted, but then last week’s rain wasn’t predicted either.

Good morning Vagabonds. The rain has stopped and the temps will in the mid 40’s.
The rest of the week will be cold with temps between upper 30’s and lower 40’s.
Don’t know what’s going on except doing some food shopping and going for communion.
May you all have an easy day.

Good Early morning, Vagabonds,
I have a follow-up ultra sound on my thyroid this morning. So, I only have a few moments to say “Hello, Goodbye” (but I’m not late).
Thanks for the info, Mark. Happy Hanukkah, Arye!
xoxo Happy Trails.
