When we were stationed in Germany we would invite my husband’s flight platoon over for the holidays. One Thanksgiving we stuffed ourselves and drank too much. The house we lived in you could close off the front room and dining room from the rest of the house. We closed the doors and went to bed. We didn’t clear the table, just went to bed. Unbeknownst to us our Cocker Spaniel was locked in there overnight. In the morning we found the remains of the dinner had been cleaned up by him. He barfed and had the runs for a week! We never did that again! Happy Thanksgiving Crew! XOX
This reminds me of the time we went to church and forgot to put the homemade fudge away that had been doled out for Halloween the night before. When we got home we realized that our dog, a small terrier, had cleaned out the bowl of remaining fudge. Needless to say it was barfarama at our place that Sunday.
Happy Thanksgiving. Living here we are thankful. Everytown has abundance of food, warm homes, our Armed Forces who protect us, our police who protect us, freedom to worship and on and on and on………..let us not take these for granted. America, the Beautiful.
