I looked out the window to see frosted trees, the temp, 19 degrees.
The start of another Sunday in the NEK and I do believe there won’t much else to talk about. So I’m going to say may God bless and have really nice day.
It’s still dark out and I’m waiting for the Dawn to crack. It’s my favorite time of the day with all those colors.
We watched our favorite Christmas movie last night…….White Christmas. It takes me back to our early years when we would wrap the gifts from Santa late at night while watching the only broadcast of the movie. Sigh.
The Christmas party at church was a lot of fun yesterday. I baked a batch of chex mix on Friday so I took that as my contribution to the “finger food snacks”. Believe it or not, I got comments about not bringing my usual deviled eggs. (although they did like the mix)
I use the recipe that was on the chex boxes 40 years ago, not the one that is printed these days. It’s a lot simpler – no onion powder, no garlic powder, just seasoned salt and Worcestershire sauce. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know.
Off to church this morning. I’m letting Michael sleep as late as possible before I go in to take my shower. He stayed up late watching “Return of the Jedi”. Me? I put in my earplugs and went to sleep.
