ALLEY OOP: “Come on Oop! Come back to life!” After Oop’s bad fall off the cliff, Doc Wambug applies the defibrillator while Mary Shelley looks on. Mary will soon return to the villa where she is staying…on holiday with others. There at the Villa Diodati, Mary, Percy Shelley, & Lord Byron will decide to write ghost stories to while away the time during the dismal volcano summer. Mary will title her story, “Frankenstein: or, The Modern Prometheus.:” Although this is a repeat of the Bender story, I have again enjoyed this creative docudrama, with Doc W. in the role of the inspiration for Shelley’s Dr. Victor Frankenstein!
Rex Morgan – Parents will never stop caring. But will brothers donate a kidney?
Mary Worth – Will a new character and story be introduced tomorrow? Or will I still be asking this next week?
Judge Parker – I agree with Florchi. Today was barely a tease: Is Neddie returning home? What will she never go through again? Why take it out on Ronnie? Will her story also appear in Toni’s book? We were reminded that the Norton/April story will pop up anytime.

Mary Worth The Albert Camus quote at the beginning of the strip reminded me of a Heinlein book called “Door into Summer”.
