    Good morning Vagabonds.

It’s raining right now and will continue for the rest of the day. The temp is supposed to go to mid 80’s today.

Had to sleep under the covers the last two nights as it has been cool. Also had to put on long pants and flannel shirt.

Not going to turn on the furnace this time of year.

Hope the people in North Carolina don’t get hit too hard by the hurricane.

Hope all have a good day and you, Jan, have a dry one.

    Hi everybody

    It,s Patriots Day today.

Looks as though most of the rain has past us and by my weather app is now mostly in Maine.

Not much happening, do stay dry and happy.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

No rain since about 10 last night. I’m praying for a dry day today so we can dry things out a bit. Today’s forecast is for cloudy and 72.

We have a Rand McNalley road atlas that shows us which roads are toll roads. It came in handy yesterday when we drove south on I81 into Maryland and then west on I70 & I68 and back north on US 119 all to avoid that $65 toll. As you said, Rita, who carries that kind of cash? Tomorrow’s drive shows no toll roads but I will look again just to be sure.

Our drive yesterday was uneventful, and despite the extra miles added by our detour, shorter than the previous two. The only traffic we ran into was in Uniontown, about 20 miles from here where the US highway ran through a residential neighborhood, around a sharp turn into a lane closure then to a traffic signal that had a pretty short green. Consequently it took us more than half an hour to travel about a half mile. Then you have very large trucks trying to merge into our lane because theirs was closing. Fun times.

Michael is making pancakes for breakfast. See you all tomorrow. Everyone have a blessed day.

Of all the strips I read, only Dick Tracy had a tribute to 9/11.

    Good 9/11 morning, Vagabonds,

And thank you to all those heroes who took action and risked their own lives to to save more.

We’re down to the high sixties for the rest of the week. We might even get a few drops of rain on Thursday, too.

Our kids in Raleigh are preparing for the worst. They’ve loaded up their freezer with as much ice as it will hold. If they have a power failure, they were told it could last as long as 8 days! And it’s supposed to be a slow moving storm so they’re looking at heavy rains for days! Our granddaughter who is at ECU in Greenville will be coming home today. They’re real close to the coast, so they’ll get hit pretty hard. Most of the buildings are brick, so that helps. The school has cancelled classes, and she’s packed up all the stuff at her apartment to take back with her. Greenville is noted for their flooding, so we’ll see.

    xoxo Happy Trails.
