I prefer to observe that in any given year, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are on the same day, but Christmas Day and New Year’s Day never are on the same day. Some people have actually argued that I’m wrong about that.

Or about 18,000 miles – Pan Am used to have the around the world ticket for $999, ie SF to NYC the hard way. (Saw it landing in Beirut in 1964)
