My second wife was Hispanic…my third (and final) wife is Native American, Scottish and French. She’s more than sufficient blood quota to be reigistered with her tribe.
Kinda interesting – it took coming to America to learn that my second wife was labelled as Hispanic (she had whiter skin than I did and was always getting mistaken for Jewish or Greek) and, unlike a lot of people, I find Native American people fascinating and intriguing – I don’t have any of the prejudices that a lot of people in the US seem to have against them. (Best woman I’ve ever known.)
I read Lalo’s stuff with great enjoyment and right now I’m wondering just where the hell prejudice does come from? Mebbe if you label something – and the label is different to yours – that might make the difference?
There is the new series “The Mayans” motorcycle gang from the some ones who gave us 7 years of “Sons of Anarchy” tv series. Not for the faint of heart. Lots of Hispanics and Spanish is spoken and translated.
