There would still have to be some metal parts, the fuse for example. But plastic would be a major problem. Mostly from a treatment POV, you would be able to see the metal shrapnel on X-Rays, but plastic not so much. But there might not be as much penetration in the body, as the plastic might not carry as much velocity and be stopped by heavier clothing. But IED’s are easy to make, see all the car bombs and the like even in countries like France which have very draconian rules on firearm ownership.

A guy making these can sell them for a lot less than “real” ones, and they’re untraceable, so guess who’s going to be buying em.
