Once upon a time GoComics had a feature that documented the early comics, including the Yellow Kid… it was surreal, but I followed it. Not sure what happened to that one, and a few others on here. Retirements and/or the after-life has claimed more than a few I’d guess…
It looks to be more of a “This is Your Life”-style tribute to both Walt & the 100th Anniversary of “Gasoline Alley” than any of the insult-laden roasts from the 1970s right on up to today.

Never heard of yellow kid but I see Maggie and Jiggs above lower right and the two to their eft are familiar but I have no name for their strip.
