Bush folks built the multiple doors to this agency MUCH TOO NUMEROUS, and the “conservatives” were so dumb as to not recognize that adding 33 NEW DIRECTORS AND AGENCIES was “growing government”??????

    “Homeland INsecurity”- another Cheney/bush legacy.

Just think if Gore had been made President by the Florida Supreme Court. We might have had security that prevented 9/11. We might NOT have a war in Afghanistan. We surely would not have a war in Iraq. We might have a budget surplus left over from Clinton. And more rich people would pay taxes. And 33 Homeland security agencies would not be tax funded.

^ You have any more of that stuff you are on? Must be good.

On the subject of higher taxes, I agree. Without the shrub tax cuts we would turn the deficit into a surplus, like Clinton did after Bush the First.

Churchie, while I certainly hope some of those disasters are just being tongue in cheek- the VERY REALITY is that if Cheney had not UNDONE Standard Operating Procedures of FAA and the military, ONE aircraft might possibly have made it through on 9/11, but the SOP -given the time frames involved- more likely would have resulted in an airliner being shot down, but NOT HITTING MANHATTAN. (the Payne Stewart aircraft incident proves this disaster would NOT have happened because of “standard response”) The conservatives, like Birchers and Birthers can complain the Earth would have reversed its spin under Gore, the simple fact is, we’d have been a LOT better off today.
