The REAL reason Rudolph flies with Santa has nothing to do with weather - unless you accept the military definition (“night” is a weather condition). Rudy flies with Santa to serve as his anti-collision beacon - which all aircraft flying at night are required to have. “NP Express Flight 1 to tower: requesting “Rudy and push” from Gate 1” “NP1, Rudy and push approved. Taxi to runway 18 approved. Have a good flight, contact departure control on 123.45 when in position.”
