Weather report, one more day of sunshine and blue sky. Clouds move in Sunday and by Monday the monsoon begins for most of the week, but, with moderate drought conditions we are in need of it.
My thumbs will continue to get a workout today, not much going on.
We are planning a trip to Atlantic City today. We want to check out the famous boardwalk and see how the casinos compare to Vegas.
Rita, to answer your question, I have probably been up on top about a dozen times over the year and (almost) a half we have owned it. It isn’t hard. There’s a ladder that hangs off the back and as long as I remember to keep hold of the rails 100% of the time, climbing it isn’t bad. The roof is slightly rounded, but as long as it is dry there’s no problem. In order to remove those two brackets, I laid down on my stomach and only my head and arms were over the side. I do have Michael spot for me whenever I’m on that ladder so I can land on him if I lose my hand hold.
The good news is that the repair guy came out yesterday to take a look at what we need, and he figured out that we don’t need to replace the entire mirror assembly. He is ordering only the two mirror panels that will fit into the undamaged frame and it will save us a couple of hundred dollars. He is also very familiar with the damaged slide cover brackets and will be able to replace them with no problem. He’s waiting to hear from his parts distributor and doesn’t see any major delay in getting them. We may get out of here on time yet!
Yesterday was only about 85, and in the late afternoon cooled off enough to open up the windows and air out for a while. It made it damper in here, but the fresh air felt so good. Today is only supposed to get up to 80, and tomorrow we’re expecting rain.
The repair guy (Joe) gave us the names and addresses of a few wineries in the area, so we thought we’d go check those out tomorrow.
Hot, breezy and dry! It was only 84 yesterday, but supposed to be 92 today. Fire weather again. At least it’s warm enough to sit outside to see the stars. We saw 4 satellites and one shooting star last night. What fun.
Everyone here has their days full. My only plan is to tend the garden, take an abbreviated walk, and I finally have all the ingredients to make some ice cream. Yahoo!

Good morning Vagabonds.
Going to be another nice day with temp in low 80’s and low humidity. No rain until Sun. morning.
Will do some food shopping this morning and then take communion to my home bound friend.
After that it will buy the paper and go home to read it and have my coffee.
Then after lunch I will do some clean up in the yard.
No exciting times like you people have.
