I know it is going to be hard to change old habits.
Some suggestions sound too easy.
You know how cities are warmer than the surrounding countryside, usually?
Painting the roofs of skyscrapers white for reflection, and using light color road surfaces would not cost a whole lot of money, especially on new construction.
Put together enough ideas that each make a small difference, and we might be getting somewhere.
Even looking at cutting back on our “production” and consumption levels of just 10 years ago freaks the profit takers out of the temple– and onto the street corners to scream “MORE MORE, WE MUST HAVE MORE!” and who defined “hypocrite” more specifically than the guy they all call on?
My “evangelical” son-in-law’s “library” only has bible books, and books on how Jesus will make you rich! What is wrong with that picture???? Right, Watt said use it all up ‘cause the guy waiting for 2,000 years at the bus stop is going to show up in our lifetimes. (Of course Mark and John thought the same thing.)

I don’t nkow dtrout personally, but if he’s buying those “get rich quick” books (male equivalent of diet books, I guess) he probably isn’t.
