Does “LIzard-breath” even know what you’re saying and what you mean by that, Michael?

Like with animals the tone can say it all.

These flashbacks are pulling even to the ages of the kids at the beginning of the comic strip. There was a comic strip from 1979, where baby Lizzie pounded Michael in the eye with her rattle.

A 6 year old doesn’t say in this way. They’re likely to say “You better not or else!”

Simply the curiosity of a small child. If the wood pegs made such a big noise, what would hitting Michael’s head sound like? Reminds me of a little boy (crawling stage) who spent hours at the carpeted living room and tiled dining area divide, patting the two coverings. We wondered if it was the difference in sound or texture that he found so fascinating, but oh the joy in his eyes!

Instead of “Tap, tap, tap, clack” she’s wailing on those pegs like an experienced carpenter. Get her a tool belt and some plans for an addition!

My little brother’s second Christmas I ended up in the E.R. with wounds from a “Tonka Toy” car hauler being crashed over my head. To this day I still can’t think of how he even picked the thing up.

I agree with Lynn on this. Often creativity does seem to flow that way—as if we have help or inspiration coming from above from other kindred spirits.

Kids learning NO much faster than other words has come up. Reason is obvious – how many times does a kid have YES screamed at them?

At my advanced age, I still find the inner knowledge of child prodigies (Mozart, Marie Curie, Akiane Kramarik, etc.), something beyond my comprehension.

Yes, Lizzie, don’t think about it — just DO it! ;o)

Too late. She has already thought about it. The only question is will she follow through.
