I keep remembering the totally “dismissive” words from Donnie when describing a ‘fallen’ member of our Armed Forces, “He knew what he was getting into.”
Two observations, here. The first is that the sentiment, expressed to Myeshia Johnson, wife of a soldier killed in action in Africa while serving in the United States Army, perfectly expresses the total lack of ‘empathy’ Donald John Trump has for ANYONE other than himself!
The second, a supposition on my part, admittedly, is that the phraseology would have been a ‘little’ different, had the soldier and his wife not been black!
The image that I have of Donnie and his “caring” for others is of him boarding Air Force One, in the rain, while holding an umbrella over his own head. Stoically following behind is his son, Barron, uncovered and unprotected! That, to me, more than any other of the myriad other little slights and ignoring of others, represents to me how Donald John Trump REALLY looks upon anyone NOT named “Donald John Trump!”
And for any “apologists” of Donnie, I will note that the boarding stairs used are wide enough to have even a “fat” father and a 12 year-old son ascending side by side! And, having been a father of two sons, myself, I understand that a child must be protected even when he wears that “Please God, I wanna be anywhere but here!” expression that Barron seems to wear, perpetually!
Melania (see, even I can spell her name, correctly) appears quite capable of “taking care” of herself (witness the subtle “hand slaps” when Donnie tries to hold her hand for appearances sake), but Barron requires protection if not affection – and Donald John Trump evidently is incapable of either to anyone other than himself.
The American President, to this point, has always been cast as a “surrogate” father figure to all Americans – someone who will protect us all from harm and danger! Donnie won’t even go out of his way to protect the ‘fruit of his own loins’, for God’s sake! Pathic!
