I’m guessing this is a response to the incident in Oakland CA a month ago (figuring in lead times to publish and the lag from the paper-publishing). What brought it to my attention was the response: there was a large party May 20. Google “BBQing While Black” — good timing on the comic.
Thyis has happened several times though it has been a white women calling. One of them was a 12 year old boy who was murdered by the police for playing with a fake gun. (Those I would outlaw.)
