The original remote of my TV broke down and I bought a new one, I tried about 15 attempts before the new remote could turn the TV on and off. That was exasperating.
The original remotes had to be hardwired to the TV. All it would do is change channels. Of course there were only 3 channels back then.
This guy has a mighty big tv (the size of the wall)
