Very likely, and the 2-year investigation surely did not cover his full 40 years in the House…..and men do not live “honest” for 38 years and overnite change to “dishonest”…..

Rangel asked to be judged on his life of “service”, including the military service. But does a “good” stint in the military give anyone a Free Pass on the rest of their life?

I do not believe in some mythical Balance Scale, weighing the human view of “good” against the “bad”….as if someone set a rule that if you do 12 “good deeds” you get a “Free No-consequence Act of Crime”!!

I am glad you mentioned having trouble with the website. As I read, it gets slower and slower until I reboot and start over, 5 times tonight.

    Only signed in twice.

If Rangel was so bad why did he get reelected with 80% of the vote?

^We the people are stupid. We listen to their empty promises and elect people who know how to campaign and beat the system. Then we watch all the corruption, and once they campaign again, we either say he’ll change or let’s elect this new criminal who campaigns well and beats the system.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to change a wrecked system that is protected by the ones who are doing the damage.
