My wife and I are both going to wear burkhas and carry a copy of the Koran when we fly since muslims are exempt from being scanned or patted down.

Bin Laden and the boys must be rolling over with laughter in their caves when they see the invasive body searches. And planning how they can escalate the stupidity.

Canbag has it right- with a pinch of Clark Kent, when we submit to the fear, and stupidity, our “enemies” play on- well- we get TSA and a bunch of bigots cutting off rights. Going back to the Magna Carta, the biggest threat to “rights” granted HAS been religious intolerance- period.

pirate is right; muslims are not exempt, they are just not specifically targeted.

And targeting them specifically would soothe some people’s rage, but they are not the only thing security officer must take care of. They also have to search for drug smugglers.

Don’t forget muslims don’t have a monopoly on rage. They are not the only gang willing to blow stuff up.

Why has the word profiling become so wrong?

Does Isreal do this type of search?

Lets take the last 100 plane bomb plots. Tally up the people involved. I honestly dont know the break down.

This is like stopping an 80 yr old african american woman to search when a 17 yr old Irish kid robbed a store.

Call it wrong, call it what you want, its still stupid to NOT be able to profile to some degree.

And misanthrpoic I agree whole heartedly about Muslims not being the only ones to blow things up. I believe some bombs went off in Ireland lately. But still lets look at stats.

We could probably learn a lot from Israel since they have been confronting these problems since 1948.

The news can not show the scan pics because it is considered porn. If a TSA agent takes a scan of a child is it considered child porn?

If a muslim can claim that being touched violates their religious beliefs and therefore are not subjected to scans or pat downs, they are exempted…
