Yea… were are all the leftist women’s rights groups protesting some of these additions to the UN-Council for Women’s Rights. Talk about hypocritical. It just goes to show that these activist groups don’t give a flip for women or women’s rights. They only care about their politics and anti-right, anti-Christian ideology.
Watching “Boardwalk Empire” is a reminder of how long it took for women to get any rights in the U.S.– then there’s that delay ‘til the “Civil Rights Act”. We shouldn’t get too arrogant, because we aren’t exactly driving our “friends” very hard to change- all that oil doesn’t seem to grease the skids of progress.
There were plenty of women’s rights groups protesting the inclusion of Saudi Arabia. There was balanced coverage on this issue (pros AND cons of including S.A. on the council) on NPR yesterday. Where do you get your news, DJGX?
So Iran loses bid for U.N. womens council seat because of strong opposition but Saudi Arabia’s was accepted despite also being opposed by various human rights groups….
Hmmm.
Ok, so who is the representative?

Unlike you, then? Sorry, where were the right-wing crowds protesting the influx of hardcore Islam in the UN council?
And yes, for the record the Saudi should pay more attention to what the UN council is advising on the topic rather than getting on it.

^^^ And how about those protesting the death sentence of Sakineh, Smartie? It’s just convenient for you guys to ignore it.
And the Bible is not better than the Quran on that. Women are to be stoned to death for just about anything in there! It is just not applied.
