church, if the Saudis hadn’t tipped us, there would/could have been a disaster and many deaths. Are you suggesting that we shouldn’t worry about screening cargo because it’s difficult?
If the Saudis hadn’t tipped us, and the bomb exploded, killing many people, would you have joined the chorus of people blaming Obama for not keeping us safe, or would you have dissented from the criticism, because screening cargo was, in your words, “unfeasible.”
^ church: As to whether I’d blame Obama: I hope not.
Know what church? I appreciate that statement. If you believe you would have refrained from blaming Obama had one of those bombs gone off, while simultaneously believing it’s not economically or logistically possible to screen all cargo, then you would have demonstrated some integrity and fairness.
But I bet there are many (including some here) who would have been all too happy to blame Obama very specifically had the bomb gone off even if the day prior they would have screamed about ridiculous govt. regulations to try to screen cargo.
*Are you suggesting that we hand-inspect every piece of cargo that enters the US? *
I don’t know the right way to try to inspect cargo, I’m not an expert. Do I think we should make an attempt to increase screening of cargo on airplanes? Yes, I do. And I’d like to see FedEX and others try to work for a solution instead of lobbying against a solution (back to the post that started this thread).

Cartoon fail. It’s intelligence that knew about the plots and attempts.

Like sending a bomb from Yemen isn’t going to get “special screening”- can anyone say U.S.S. Cole??

Doesn’t matter why they tipped us, they did. That’s what we want! We want the cooperation of other countries in the fight against terrorism.
So, olelego/C-Note, what’s your answer the second question I asked church that he won’t answer?
