That looks more like tobacco juice than tea, which is appropriate, considering that Representative Boehner, Big Tobacco’s best friend, will replace Speaker Pelosi. She will continue to serve her constituents and the rest of us in trying to rescue America from the disaster of the Bush-Dick years.
I cannot wait to see how Congress will work with a small Republican majority in the House (and the Tea-Bags constantly tugging at its pantlegs) and a small Democratic majority in the Senate. This Congress is a wealthy White man’s dream: do nothing and let me continue to reap the benefits of the system.
Although if it does nothing on Bush-Dick’s tax giveaway, then even middle-class taxes will rise a bit. Note now how smart President Obama’s original suggestion was.
next thing on Tea Party agenda?
bake a cake and use icing to picture Pelosi,
with “EAT ME” the message??? LOL
(I want an investigation early next January of how many illegal bribes the Dems and Harry Reid used, along with unions and casino people, breaking laws to bribe voters to vote for “dingy Harry”…!!!)
Right. It had to be illegal. No other way a tea bagger could have lost an election. I guess the other tea bag losers should ask for investigations too?
The casino’s were busing “Union workers” to early voting spots telling them to vote for Harry Reid. Harry gained some casino friends when he was chairman of the Nevada gaming commission 1977-1981).
^ don’t see anything in the article indicating Republicans were any more guilty than Democrats.
Of course as per their usual stance nothing is mentioned of dead voters in Chicago. That type of voter fraud is by far the largest and since predominately Democratic unmentioned.
Well, Libert., let us say smaller than the recent Democratic majority.
Of course, President Obama (who isn’t, because he’s African-American, intelligent enough to be president, right, Libert.?) can run, in 2012, on Republican intransigence if the House Republicans simply try to repeal the Affordable Care Act or simply try to cut funds for education and other social services, and if the Democrats permit the Senate Republicans to continue with covert filibusters to important progress.
Thanks, Libert., for the link to Senator Bayh’s piece. He is correct that no one should blame the voters, but the voters in 2010 are not the same as the voters in 2008 and in 2012.
He is also correct that Democrats should ban earmarks & freeze federal pay increases. Along with that freeze, they should tax gross bonuses at a high rate. Too many business executives are getting richer at the expense of the middle- & working-classes.
In addition, his suggestions about Social Security are good.
On the other hand, he ignores the influence of the huge influx of anonymous local & foreign corporate money in yesterday’s election. Without serious “Citizens United” reform, nothing that either the Republicans & Democrats, including Obama, do will matter as much as getting the cash and smearing all opponents.
Libert., your reading skills fail you again. The article that Fennec cites says “In Minnesota, Tea Party groups e-mailed supporters and told them to wear buttons or stickers saying ‘Please ID me’ even though a federal judge ruled that they could not, because some voters might worry that they would have to produce identification they did not have,” and “Spanish-language robocalls went out in Los Angeles, telling people to vote Wednesday”. Who was behind those robocalls?
It continues: “In Woodland Park, Colo., a business owner put a sign up in a shop window that said: ‘Democrats vote on Wednesday,’” and “Fliers were sent to voters in a predominantly black neighborhood in Houston that falsely warned them that casting their ballot straight down the Democratic ticket would cancel out their votes.” Which party performed these acts, do you think?
The article also mentions reports of polling places in Michigan & South Carolina hindering young African-Americans from voting. I am not surprised that you overlooked that.

House- small Republican majority? What would you consider a large majority?
Ideal result -split control. This way Obama will not be able to run on a claim of Republican intransigence.
Will Democrats become the party of no?

The Tea party didn’t do as well as they expected to.
No Angle, no O’Donnell, no Paladino.
“Will Democrats become the party of no?”
Being the party of “No” is being a “real American” and good for politics, I thought? Worked for the Republicans.Jaedabee Premium Member over 13 years ago
^ That both sides are catering a bit too much to extremes?
Granted the Democrats still have more moderates than the GOP now.
