I agree with Carmen. Just because you qualify for something, doesn’t mean you need it. When I was laid off from work for a few weeks, everyone told me to file for unemployment. I have enough in savings to cover me for a year, so I said “No, I don’t need it.” That set off some interesting conversations.

Sometimes they give discounts to young children.
