Venice might be the worst place to get a fine meal in Italy, because it’s very difficult to escape from tourist areas. My strategy is to look for a restaurant where customers are bringing their dogs in with them. The customers are more likely to be local.
Rome is one of my favorite places to visit in Italy I love the juxtaposition of Old and New especially the way that the ancient in some places is part of the new. My favorite place to stay in Rome is the Hotel Forum!
