He’s well behind all the other kids anyway so save your money as any new computer will be a dinosaur in 6 months anyway by tech standards. If I tried that lame one on my parents they would have just said work harder and save your money, and if I didn’t have a job to make money then go get one and mow lawns or rake leaves or something!

I don’t recall having a calculator in school. 1959 we still had to figure it out with pencil& paper.
