You can keep cleaning up the mess – at a high cost to tax payers. Or try to do something at the source – but that would require understanding science and having some political will to do what is right for the future of our country instead of doing what is right for one quarter.
Having mopped up a lot of spills, I can tell you that sponge isn’t going to soak up any more water. Holland has handled the problem of being below sea level. They have lots of solutions that this country could probably use along our coastline. What’s wrong with our government? Are we too proud to use Solutions thought up by another country? Or are we too lazy? I know that they are probably expensive. Maybe too expensive for our government to use without taking away some of the tax breaks for our rich corporations.
