    Good morning Vagabonds

The heat wave has passed. Talk about a screeching halt, we go from 90 to possible frost in one day. (0.0) Rain is also needed, it’s been over two week since the last rain fall.

Not a lot happening today ’cept sunshine.

    Sunny days all.

    Good morning DKRAM & Vagabonds,

It’s 78 here in So. Fla. today, with a light rain. The Hurricane Center site shows a Yellow X, indicating a disturbance, off the SW tip of the Fla. peninsula, which is where our today’s rain is coming from (www.nhc.noaa.gov). This morning’s info. when one clicks on NHC’s Yellow X, gives a formation chance of 40%. There’s no sunshine here this morning, but I’ll happily take the 78 degrees! The end of September/beginning of October is the time of year when there starts to be a break in So. Fla’s summer heat.

P.S. to Montana Lady – I replied to your 9/28 post late yesterday. :-)

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

This should be our last really warm day for a while. Supposed to get rain and cool temps tomorrow. We’ll send some of that rain over to you, Mark.

Thanks for the website, Florchi. Very informative! It really helps to see all the pictures! I remember the big earthquake of ‘94, all the trash at the curbs. NOTHING compared to your experience. And, these pictures were of the areas that WEREN’T hit the hardest, too!

    Everyone take care.

    xoxo Happy Trails

@ Montana Lady – I was amazed when I read the newspaper article and it included the information that Palm Beach County officials estimated that the piles of debris there, if all in one place, would be 140 stories tall with a footprint the size of a football field, incl. the end zones! (and that’s just one of the affected So. Fla. counties!). As hard as we were hit by a very l-o-n-g storm (duration), we here in the three counties referred to as “South Florida” dodged a bullet, as we did not experience a major hurricane. Puerto Rico and some of the other islands experienced Irma and/or Maria as major hurricanes (Cat. 3 & higher). Ditto the middle & lower keys in Monroe County (Irma).

    Good noon time Vagabonds.

Was very cool last night and early this AM but has warmed up now. In the upper 60’s. We are having our cool down over the week end and into the middle of next week. Nice sunny day right now.

Glad all of you are well today. I am having a little bit of a problem with my left hip and back but hopefully it will clear up soon.

    Peace to all.
