@Night-Gaunt49 Totally agree with you with the addition that we will need a tax to pay for it. 5-10% sales tax on EVERYTHING with the stipulation that each year it will be reviewed and if there is a surplus, the tax will be reduced. You will need to ensure the politicians cannot raid this tax to pay something else, we all know how politicians love to buy votes. Also need limits on end of life care, if it only keeps you alive with little hope of improvement, you’re allowed to pay your own way, but Medicaid will not cover it. With proper funding we won’t risk what Canada experiences where you stuck waiting years for hip or knee replacements. Plastic surgery and other elective treatments will all be out of pocket.
First we can tax all holdings and earnings here and globally of the rich to super rich. Graduated income tax increasing geometrically the more rich they are. Like it should be, like Thomas Jefferson suggested so long ago.
