Ted has correctly assessed this issue. Over time, as drones become more widely available to the violent idiot Muslims and other similar miscreants, there will almost surely be future blowback consequences from our droning.
That’s American ill logic for murdering foreigners in a nutshell. The attitude that we need war to keep the economy going is evil and counter productive.
@Vorpal…Right, so bombing people with drones won’t encourage retribution from those being bombed. I completely understand that droning is the least worst thing we can do. But that doesn’t mean there won’t be consequences. To ignore that likelihood is simply dumb. Almost as dumb as George W. Bush kicking over the hornets’ nest in the first place. Now THAT was really stupid! Not as stupid as trump, but, then, who or what is? Imagine a president stating that nobody ever thought about the cause of the Civil War. Now that, my friend is willful ignorance!
Rall makes some good points today, but I’m not sure turning our backs on the region leads to a better outcome. I assume Rall thinks efforts to support groups that promote human rights in the region are a good thing, but that is enough to earn the enmity of extremists. Do we provide some sort of security for people working on behalf of progressive ideals or call their kidnapping & murder part of the risks?
We can’t change the violent history, but we can try to do better in the future.
Still drawing cartoons about Obama, Ted? You do realize that your guy Trump is President now, right? After all, you worked so hard to get him elected. I guess your bosses at RT are forbidding you to draw Trump strips.

“Over There,” by George M. Cohan, was published 100 years ago.
.
“…So prepare, say a prayer
Send the word, send the word to beware
We’ll be over, we’re coming over
And we won’t come back till it’s over
Over there"
.
It’s still not over, I guess. Johnnie, keep your gun.

The last panel painfully exposes the illogic in the world war that the U.S. is waging.

Maybe it is to eventually, as Ann Coulter said, “to attack them, kill their men and make them Christian” is really going on.

Now that’s an adequate explanation.
