MUSLIMS. When did you ever hear of a Jewish kid going into a pizza shop and blowing up a bunch of innocent Palestinians? When did you ever hear of a S. Baptist Sunday School class bombing a 747 with 300 innocent people on it? No, I thought not, I didn’t hear about it, either.

I was in Kuala Lumpur, rode the train up from Singapore, wanted to ride it on up to Bangkok. (I’m your basic “train freak”, BTW). I got an email from the US Embassy in Bangkok (I had registered my travel plans with the Office of Services To American Citizens before I left home – highly recommend you do that when traveling). They advised I change my plans because a bunch of islamic terrorists had pulled a bus off the road near the Malaysia/Thailand border, near the train station where I was going to have to change trains, and slaughtered a busload of Buddhists simply because they were Buddhists. If I had been alone I’d have went ahead as planned, but I had my wife and granddaughter with me so I made a reservation on Lufthansa to fly into Bangkok.

Remember back before the network news had to find a way to compete with cable & evolved into the infotainment industry? Back when “going postal” was the catch phrase du jour?

Same old story, new sensationalistic packaging.
