It’s about time! We’ve had enough of the hate and fear being circulated, in some cases even manufactured by the media.(See FOX noise). A generous dose of reality is overdue.
Excellent ’toon. Long watching, at least in the non-US “news” media, all the people from around the world, not just Syria/Middle East, seeking safety and a chance in our country, like those Italians, Irish, Welsh, Germans, Poles, French, and Spanish/Basque of past years.
Were ALL Italians and Jews in the Mafias during Prohibition? Don’t even start on the “religious” persecuted, who BECAME THE PERSECUTORS!.
A broad brush is a bad tool for progress, but certainly spreads hate effectively, especially to the morally blind.
But is the premise accurate?Many Muslims have fled to America to save themselves from the thoughts which lead to tyranny and death. Some of their children wondered why they wouldn’t talk about their home country so they went back and became just like the kind of people their parents fled.
.not many, but more than an antidote would produce..And, of course, if any actually came to kill while hiding among those fleeing people like them, would being over here or among them change things? After all, they didn’t change them back home. Back home those other skittles were just prey.
Very nice sentiments. However, “Melting Pot” America is termed a microagression. We don’t expect any immigrants to conform to a national vision because we’ve lost it. The “antidote” no longer exists.
