Varvel left out mental illness. While most mentally ill are not aggressive, this man apparently did suffer from some mental illness.

It’s fairly well established by now that Omar Mateen was1. Himself gay2. Not particularly religious3. Mentally disturbed and, by corollary4. Picked on “ISIS” as a way of garnering attention for his murderous rampage.

Varvel has this phenomenon analyzed perfectly, IMO.

-(immigrants’ children) “are proving to be the most fruitful recruiting ground for radical jihad in the U.S., accounting for at least HALF of the deadly attacks over the past decade.”-“…1/3 of those Implicated in terrorist plots are converts…”-(excerpts from www.washingtontimes.com news 6/13/16, written by Stephen Dinan). printed 4 pages.-My opinion is that any immigrant and of course their children have a heritage and culture and a lifetime of teaching and experience with them when they come to America. Whether they become American citizens or not, they have their own mindset and value system and Muslims are not famous for assimilating into any Judeo-Christian culture. Many are boastful of Sharia Law being “superior” to any foreign law, such as we have in the USA. Many settle here, use our laws which are like day to night in freedoms, to gain numbers and political power to demand Sharia Law for themselves, and expand it. Their law is anti-freedom, and that is observable in every Muslim majority country in the world, therefore undeniable.-The Orlando mass killer (IMO because there was not even one defense gun among that large crowd and not even management seemed to have thought of armed defense, ever!) incredibly was examined by our FBI and all the red flags were unseen or ignored. One article quoted classmates of this New York born American, Mateen, as celebrating the 9/11/01 mass jihadist murder of 3,000 innocent victims. He had reportedly threatened his co-workers. His ex-wife’s quotes show him to be an abusive husband that her family had to rescue her from. He reportedly did attend mosque; and freely made 2 trips to Saudi Arabia; was able even on a watch list to have a security job and able to purchase arms.Something is very wrong with our laws’ loopholes for so obviously escaping, maybe because Obama’s theme is to never say the obvious truth, those who should have reported his actions/words chose not to report it to authorities.“Don’t Ask…Don’t Tell”? National Suicide IMO.

.The NRA solution : Arm everybody..Now, imagine that crowded nightclub where everybody has a gun all shooting at the perpetrator from all directions.

Let’s remember, he also threw Hezbollah, the Sarnayav brothers and al-Nusra into the mix. I think he was just naming terrorist organizations, hoping something would stick, even though those groups hate each other.

“If A then B does not imply if B then A, Simple logic.”

Well except, of course, when we invade Iraq and there are more radical muslim extremists.

    Then, it’s just coincidental.Or Obama’s fault.Or something.

Also, It’s Always OKAY If A Republican Does It.

@braindead…“What is common is the ready access to semi automatic weapons and high capacity ammunition devices.”-Except a weapons expert says the AR-15 is a long rifle, and shoots one bullet each time the trigger is pulled.NOT AUTOMATIC and NOT CAPABLE OF 500 ROUNDS A MINUTE AS ONE CONGRESSMAN SAID ON TV.-One trained and armed person in that nightclub could have saved dozens of lives by shooting Mateen when he began pulling the trigger at the first. He even stopped to make a phone call to 911 to give ISIS credit, time enough to shoot him then. But perhaps the nightclub was in a “Gun Free” zone? Therefore, 49 dead and 64 fighting for life in Orlando hospitals. -Fear of guns in America today is tantamount to suicide, in the increasingly dangerous climate where people gather, especially in the areas with bans against defense weapons.
