I used street view a few times, but I don’t see the use for it, except for a few tourist spots (things worth seeing) and so the guy with the iPhone can say “I have more guizmos than you!”
We are obsessed with big government, there days. Yet this is more intrusive than we would allow from any government.
Yet for some reason, when it’s related to the government, it’s scarier.
Street View can be very useful. You can check out a neighborhood before you wander around in it, you can see if a business you are dealing with is in a office building or someone’s garage, you can see if a business has changed their name, you can see if a restaurant is classy or a dive, … just a few off the top of my head, there are many reasons.
