Wait staff is one of those jobs where the employer can pay below minimum wage. Good work leads to good tips. (except for the tartar sauce incident.) It gets worse. The government decided to start taxing tips. Being a waiter/waitress has to be one of the suckyest jobs around. In answer to the fairness of it all,it beats me. Raise the price of the food at restaurants and maybe the staff can get a better wgae.
