There are many letters from our nation’s founders who warned that when money became the tool by which office was achieved, our nation would be threatened, if not doomed. Money is the tool by which tenured politicians keep office and with which good, qualified Americans are barred from having their voices heard by the electorate.Mr. Trump is simply using the tools provided by our two party oligarchy making our government the best money can buy.We can do better.Respectfully,C.

We all knew that Hillary, Bernie, Cruz, and Rubio were going to ask for money. The difference with Trump is that he is still pretending that his campaign is “self financed,” which is a lie.

Your reply is confusing Mr. Brown…I believe I am in total agreement from “When Government is….freedom to government servants”Are you sure you know my standards? They might surprise you. My spouse and daughter are civil service and my eldest daughter is an army major who did tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Through them, I’ve met many government servants and the majority are conservative. Perhaps liberals dominate in other areas of gov’t, but overall, I don’t think the word overwhelming is accurate. There are writings by Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, and others of what traits a leader should have. I do agree with the core of your reply, just not yourassumption that you know my standards or what is natural to me.Respectfully,C.
