HOWGOZIT,
Here’s a count of Obama’s activities, some compared to predecessors. You’re correct that he has done more fundraising, but he’s also taken considerably less vacation.
It’s interesting that he’s travelled abroad more, and yet met with fewer heads of state in his first year.
Obama has also traveled more around this country than his predecessors. Some management theories say that ‘walking around’ is an important part of getting the pulse of a people. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-6119525-503544.html
“Less vacation” time! Haha, haha, a-hHaha! Better look at the facts again, BlueHat. Another of Obama’s favorite activities is “golf”, check out how those numbers compare too - while you’re at it. Indeed, the fake President has found many hobbies to keep himself busy while Emmanuel and Axelrod and Sorous prepare his talking point (notice I said point - in singular - they don’t want to make it too complicated for the Teleprompter-in-Chief).
Golf:
Obama: 29 rounds of golf
Bush II: 7 rounds of golf
So, How long does it take to play a round of golf? 3 hours?..so let’s add the 22 round difference (that’s about 66 hours @ presidential 10 hr days), that’s an extra 6 days of ‘vacation’ for Obama…
Now we’re up to Obama 32 days of vacation vs. Bush II, 69 days….Bush is still way out in front.
I can accept and respect people who disagree with Obama’s policies and actions. The attacks on his intellectual credentials however are just plain silly. There’s no question that Obama very successfully went through the most rigorous and competitive educational institutions and excelled. He wasn’t a ‘C’ student, and didn’t have family pull to get in, either.
And all public figures use teleprompters and speech writers. If you really believe this is reprehensible, then direct your criticism across the board.
There are plenty of legitimate criticisms one can make of the Obama administration so far. Ad hominem attacks on Obama’s intellect are just kindergarten level name-calling.
Yes , I think the proportion is something like 69days/in 8 years compared to 32/in 1.5 years; yep, he’s catching up to Bush alright - he’ll maybe make it in a quarter of the time that Bush took…
AlongCame Puppy,
That’s a direct comparison of their 1st year in office.
Bush took a total of 487 days at Camp David, and 490 days at his Crawford ranch in his 8 years in office. That’s 977 days out of 8 x 365=2920 or about 1/3 of his time in office on vacation.
You don’t get into Harvard on a C average unless you’re a legacy student. And, once at Harvard Law, C students do not become the Editor/President of the Harvard Law Review.
It also seems relatively unlikely that there are many C students in Constitutional law, with professorships in the subject at universities.
