Spite is a difficult concept to grasp. I remember seeing this comic when I was about 7, and only decades later when I saw it again did it really make sense.
Well, at least it is better than envy candy, the type of candy that ‘you’ get to eat that you think you would enjoy, because the candy someone else has, but ends up not being delicious at all.
