Mr. Rangel messed up and the Dems will pay as he will be the poster boy for the Repubs. As for what he did, I could see it as a book keeping error on the part of his employees, but he is ultimately responsible. Does anyone really think he does his own bookkeeping?
Unbelievable how naive some of the posters are. His actions are standard operating procedure for NY politicians. It wasn’t his accountants, it wasn’t his advisers, it was his greed. The ironic thing is most of his constituents like him sticking it to the man. He would be re-elected with 90% of the vote.
