I started in 62 and my tuition, including all the fees etc was $79 a quarter, and that included renting all the books needed for our courses. A lady told me the other day that free college ( Bernie Sander’s idea) was unfair to those who had already worked two jobs to get themselves through college. The kids going to college now should put some “seat equity” into it, like she did. I guess she hasn’t checked out how far the wages on those two jobs would go toward college expenses now.

The cost of buying gifts for kids now is more expensive because they all are tech-savory.’ including the 2yr old! I’m retired and have to watch what I spend. Here’s how I solved the problem. I asked them if they would rather have gift cards than my trying to guess what to buy. They all said, “YES!” Problem solved!
