@John Locke – I disagree John. I was pretty angry at GW as well. He took us into an ill advised war, destroyed many of our rights and freedoms with his crusade on the middle east, did very little to improve the economy or the country, and left us with a big mess.
I’m not discounting Obama’s failures but as a Republican who voted for GW I was pretty disappointed in his priorities, his actions, and his results.

Obama could have done a lot to work on making this country great and, instead, focused on making sure the dumbest and laziest members of our society could reach into the pockets of their hard working neighbors. Clinton had finally weaned those takers off the public dole and along comes Obama to give them unfettered access to welfare and unemployment.
This campaign was winnable and they lost. Bush was too slow to respond to a campaign that was different from the one he expected. He was a victim of the Republican party that fundamentally changed from the one that elected his father and brother president. But JEB could have done something, anything, to change the dynamic. Bush and his team had the best-financed superPAC ever. Right to Rise USA raised $118 million and spent $87 million on advertising, even as Bush never came close to winning a primary.
