That was sweet… I usually save earthworms after a rain because they are so helpful. The sliminess doesn’t bother me at all because I’d rather help them go back to the dirt.

Oh my goodness, @lightenup and @Burgundy…I thought I was the only one who rescues earthworms after a rain. We have a large asphalt parking area and drive and I go out to rescue all the earthworms and redeposit them in safe, dryer places to continue their important work.
Besides, I often think that if I ask God to help me out of my distresses then it isn’t too much to help these helpless creatures out of theirs. Especially when I know I am the only hope they have.
