Lewreader - Try England, you at least have a 50/50 chance that your cabbie has an English heriatage. If not he will be of either Indian or Pakistani descent but will still speak good English. If you are unlucky enough to get a cockney speaking cabbie then I wish you lots of luck understanding the fellow.

I knew that cabs were usually driven by aliens, but this is way over the top. Of course, when they say Universal Cab, they mean it.
