Well when you look into all of the things that Wall Street did in the past few years you can see that you need a lot of laws, particulary when Wall Streets defense was usually: Well what we did might have been quesionable, but it wasn’t illegal!”
God, Obama just isn’t getting anything done is he? No health care, no stimus package, no Wall Street reform, no large oil company having to pay for the damage they have done. Two years and he’s done so little – just look at what Bush did in his first two years — OH you don’t remember, he failed to tie Socal Security to the Stock Market, and he let a little thing called 9/11 happen.
HOW/TIG - So no one lost their jobs during the economic meltdown? This whole recession, the millions of lost jobs, the destroyed small businesses, bank failures, and Wall Street crash all occured in the past two year, and all were the fault of Obama?
Please, if we are going to discuss things, try to keep your statement within a 1,000 miles of reality.
Jobs have been lost since Obama took over, but when a house is burning down parts of it still burn after the firement arrive. But to say that all of this occurred after Obama took over is to claim that building burn down because the firemen arrive.

Would we have gotten into the recession even if the Democrats agreed to reign in the quasi-government mortgage lenders?
Absolutely, for a recession is a byproduct of a successful economic expansion, which, in spite of the leftist grotesquely dishonest demagoguery, was in fact happening through the GWB’s term.
However,, if the two mortgage ‘companies’ have been brought down to earth earlier, the financial crises caused by the housing bubble would not have been as deep, if not averted completely.
The adopted ‘Financial Reform”, if it had been on the books 2, or 5 years ago, would not have prevented the financial crisis and the enormous loss of jobs that are a direct consequence of it.
History in the making - The Economic Crash was not Bush’s fault it was the DEMS fault because — well just because – nothing that happened during’s Bush’s Presidency was his fault, everything that happens while Obama is President is his fault – including things that happen when Bush was President.

As I read your post it does say “No one has said Bush did everything right and that all went well.” Does this mean that you are willing to say that maybe Bush did something wrong? Or are you just saying “No one has said, without you being that “No One”?
HOW - Nice to hear from you, while you are here could you please outline those GOP plans for creating more jobs that you said I hadn’t been listening too?
Also, since I am sorry to say I must have missed it, what were the mistakes you said that Bush had made?
It might be noted that “I did it” was Washington’s line, “W” would never come close to a confession- but granted it WAS actually Cheney who chopped down the economy, and our troops.

This load of legislative pooooop guarantees full employment for lobbyists, attorneys, apparatchiks and other parasites — for a very, very long time.
The one thing it does not do - is to prevent the next financial crises, or creation of wealth-producing jobs.
