My child went through a stage during the teenage years when nothing would do but Evian. So I collected the discarded bottles left all over the house, put tap water in them, and put them back in the fridge. It went unnoticed and continued to be the only thing to drink! We have perfectly good tap water here.
I’d do Timmy the way I do one of my dogs. If he doesn’t eat his food, he thinks he’ll get something better. It doesn’t work and then he doesn’t get treats or snacks. Then he’ll usually eat when he doesn’t get the treat. But that doesn’t work at bedtime.
