In olden days yellow roses symbolized infidelity, not a good choice to give to ones beloved, but they have had a P.R job done on them since to something more cheery and optimistic. I read somewhere that they now could depict “Unbridled joy” which in the context of the Penney’s is still pretty ghastly.
