Back in the day, each night, Walter Cronkite would open a LARGE book and read an item that caused cancer.

There is a real trend here, anything that tastes good is carcinogenic. All that is left is spinach, broccoli, any kind of green leaf or grass or dandelions. I really get tired of these so called studies and recommendations because you wait a few years and often even the most dire warning turn out to be false or way over blown. It really makes one doubt the medical profession has any idea of what they are doing.

As long as cancer happens at the end of my life, this is a non-issue. Eating bacon twice a week will probably reduce my life-span by 60 days. And, I will have had a half-century of good eating.

Would you give up bacon for an extra 6 months with loved ones? How about an extra 6 years? What about an extra 60 years?

I believe birth control pills are also on the list of carcinogenics. You never hear about that…

Distilled water gives lab rats cancer by all accounts. Hmm, but in much of the country, thank you fracking, the water may be killing more people than processed meats.

Doesn’t have to be that way. It’s a combination of “factory farming” which pushes unhealthy, antibiotic-filled animals into production as long as they can stagger (and when they can’t), then uses “byproducts” scraped up off the floor and from the blades at the end of each day.
